A new, promoting by the author, rotary drum alignment's idea is described in the ar-ticle. This solution takes into account forces and stresses optimization in the support system and in the shell. The optimization is made by a proper shape selection of support system's geometrical axis. The article emphasizes advantages coming from the application of this new idea and it shows superiority of proposed solution over - purely geometrical - conventional method. Author discusses also implications resulting from this new approach, such as considerably different local shell slope in support points, which has a reflection in force directions and values, generated in the carrying system, which determines axial stability of object moving.
